Oilfield Scale Formation: Dynamics of Sweet/Sour Corrosion Scales
During my Bachalor of Science (B.Sc) final year project at the Photon Science Institute, University of Manchester, I used scanning tunneling microscope (STM) to investigate the initial stage of corrosion scale formation in pipeline environment on Fe(110) surface., , 2015
Surfactant Mixtures and Their Effects on Controlling Size and Shape in Pure and Mixed Oil Drops
This is the research project during my study for the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) by research degree at the University of Cambridge. I employed membrane emulsification, optical microscope and fine tempearture control to provide fundamental understanding about the shape transformations and related self-emulsification in cooled oil-in-water emulsion systems., , 2016
Triplet Exciton Management via Solid-State Interactions in Organic Semiconductors
This is my PhD research project which was conducted at the University of Cambridge, Cavendish Laboratory, Optoelectronics group. I investigated a new family of organic light emitters known as carbene-metal-amides (CMAs). I used ultrafast spectroscopy and computational models to unveil the emission mechanisms of these highly-efficient and hybrid-type molecules., , 2017
Bi-excitonic Interactions in Singlet Fission and Triplet-Triplet Annihilation of Organic Molecules
This is the project I conducted when I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science. I used time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy, magnetic field effect on photoluminescence and computational modellings to reveal new insights into the mechanism and intermediate states in singlet fission and triplet-triplet annihilation., , 2021
